As far as video game bars go, this has to be one of the most interesting I’ve ever seen. At DE3, developers told me that this would be a major hub and a source for many of the game’s starting questlines. To my eye, the biggest change in this demo comes in the opening few minutes spent inside the ramshackle bar. The further you fall below the surface, the more dangerous things become, including the risk of losing your own humanity. First-person platforming is much improved from the original, giving new options that increase the literal depth of the world.
